Now that I've gotten more experience under my belt, and a new set of Costa's that I feel are more comfortable, I remodeled the arms for my friend who still has a set of Frigates. These are much smoother and have better geometry.

I love the way my Harpoons feel, so these are modeled off of them and he seems to like them better as well.

Print Settings

Printer:

Alfawise Delta

Rafts:

No

Supports:

Yes

Resolution:

.16

Infill:

80%

Filament: Hatchbox ABS, or other high temp material Black

Notes:

I brought mine up about 3mm to give the whole bottom even supports, enabled a 1mm support roof, then gave it a .2mm Z support distance.

Post-Printing

I did a bit of sanding to get rid of the layer end seams, then hit it GENTLY with a heat gun to clean up the surface. Just make sure you don't heat it up enough to warp it, but that's the same reason I chose ABS instead of PLA.

Category: Glasses
