Cosplay Calipers (mod)
prusaprinters

Need these for an upcoming build for a friend, and found Uncle_Jessy Youtube post (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OM5hwTrVnRU) although I could have printed diagonally I want to print the Calipers in one.

I also redesigned the centre pin as I wanted to add a little pressure so the calipers stayed in place once set.

The arms were printed at 0.20 and the Nut and Screw at 0.12, also I find the tolerances in Fusions screws a little tight so I reduced the size of the screw by 1.5% of Original in the slicer.

Once Printed I used the CA and baking soda to reinforce the split joint then sanded it all flat.

If anyone wants to modify these feel free the SVG file can be obtained for Uncle_Jessy's original post (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2892755) or you should be able to get a copy of my Fusion 360 design here (https://a360.co/309hXki).

Simon

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Creality

Printer:

Ender 3 Pro

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

0.2

Infill:

80

How I Designed This

Imported SVG file from Uncle_Jessy in to Fusion 360, sketched out the cut line, words were in the way so removed them, then split the caliper in two.

Category: Hand Tools
