Cosplay Arm Bracer v1 (Djeeta Granblue Fantasy)
thingiverse
Update : Added .obj and .fbx models of the 0.55mm version, also a no-thickness version if you want to modify how thick it is. I'll describe further below how to use that model. (Please don't try to print the no-thickness directly, it won't work.) A cosplay armor/arm bracer in 2 parts. Need to be scaled to whatever size your arm is. This was the size that fit my slightly bigger arms. Also might be in an extremely tiny or large scale, might have to scale it up by 10000% or something. Blender and Cura did not want to co-operate on this. Matching hand-armor models can be found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5448376
IMPORTANT: This was designed for Vase Mode (Spiralize Outer Contour in Cura) with a 0.5 nozzle and 0.55mm line width.

HOWEVER! It should be printable with both 0.6 and 0.4 nozzles, but you should change the line width to 0.55 or somewhere between 0.5-0.6 and adjust flow accordingly. If you don't print in vase mode, please take note of your wall-line width settings. I used 0.2 and 0.24 layer height because I was lazy and wanted them done quickly. I made a 0.44 model too with a slightly thinner wall, but I cannot change to a 0.4 nozzle at the moment to try if it works, so print it at your own risk.

Based on Djeeta from Granblue Fantasy and her arm bracers in GBVS. Made it for my cosplay of her for NärCon 2022 in Sweden. Should work for other cosplays aswell, or just larping or costumes. Also i don't know the best way to fasten it, I used velcro and it worked OK-ish. Will probably have to figure something else out in the future. I might glue it. I printed this in some silver silk PLA in vase mode because I wanted a quick silver-finish. This also meant it was shapable with a bit of heat from a hairdryer. Not super durable, but it worked, except when i dropped and stepped on it lmao.

Material note: If you print in PLA, remember to NOT leave it in a hot car or any other area that might reach 50°C+ if possible. I had to, so I put all the parts in a cooler bag with a few ice packs in the trunk, covered with other stuff that would absorb the heat. I recommend printing it in PETG or ABS/ASA if you want it to be able to handle a bit of a beating or want to prime/paint/whatever. Silk PLA is a pain to sand, so please spare yourself from that torture. Aug 10 2022 Update: Added .fbx and .obj models of the 0.55 version. Also uploaded a "no-thickness" version if you want to modify how thick you want the bracer. Pretty easy to do: Open it in blender, choose one of the parts.(if it's merged as one, split them in Edit mode by selecting one and then right clicking Separate -> By selection) Then apply a modifier "Solidify" with whatever thickness you want. For the 0.55 version I did 1.1mm. Make sure Rim -> Fill is checked.
