Cosmonaut GLADIATOR

Cosmo Wenman from cosmowenman.com shares his experience of printing the large multipart figure in ABS, which split the shield. He suggests that the results might be better with PLA. By dividing and orienting it properly, the parts can be printed large without supports on a Replicator1. The assembled figure is about 7.25 inches tall but tends to be tippy. To improve stability, he recommends printing it hollow and adding neodymium magnets in the toes while printing. Cosmo is also working on making metalized patina finishes easily available through Alternate Reality Patinas (http://www.AlternateRealityPatinas.com). Follow him on Twitter @CosmoWenman.
