Corvid19 PPE - Door Opening Hook

Corvid19 PPE - Door Opening Hook

grabcad

This device was created by Dr. Sarah Rafferty and Dr. Bray. It's a straightforward mechanism that lets users open doors without making physical contact. With the hook, people can either pull or twist door handles. The pointed end is designed for use with keypads on doors, fuel pumps, and similar surfaces, while the hole allows wearers to attach it to a lanyard. I cut the shown example using plasma but it could easily be 3D printed, milled, routed, or laser cut from any rigid material that's strong enough. ABS or Delrin might work well. Feel free to copy, modify, or use this device as you see fit without giving credit. However, one exception is making a profit off of it. If someone wants to make one, they should either do it for free or at cost. We're all in this together!
