Corsair 280X Feet Extensions
thingiverse
The Corsair 280X is a stunning little case that caught my eye in late July when I decided to rebuild my gaming rig with the new Ryzen 3700X once Linux support had stabilized. Alongside this upgrade, I tackled a custom watercooling loop for the first time ever, carefully fitting a 280mm rad on top and a 240 on the bottom. The temperatures were remarkably good, but I wanted to give my PC some extra breathing room down below as the stock clearance from the provided feet is only around 10mm. After conducting some research online, I came across a few suggestions to use nylon washers, but being the owner of a 3D printer and eager to learn, I decided to take on this challenge. With no prior experience in parametric modeling, I downloaded FreeCAD, dove headfirst into the world of custom design, and emerged with these bespoke 11mm extensions that perfectly fit my needs. The sense of pride and accomplishment was overwhelming, so I felt compelled to share this project with the community! Feel free to modify and refine this design as you see fit – shortening or lengthening the feet should be a straightforward process, making it easy for you to tailor the design to your specific requirements.
