Corrin Sword (Fire Emblem)
thingiverse
Corrin's Yato sword design inspired by Smash 4 images, though I haven't played Fire Emblem Fates yet. The blade is slightly thicker than intended due to experimenting with stiffening and a thinner profile, similar to my previous Lucina sword and Ike reprint. For assembly, I use a soldering iron chisel tip to weld the parts together, reinforcing them with additional filament melted between the pieces. Files for download include two mirrored halves of the blade and three vertical breaks, totaling six separate components. Designations indicate which half (L or R) and which split (A, B, or C) each piece represents. If you require the .ipt Inventor file for costume purposes, I can provide it upon request. I'm actively working on refining the design, with plans to print the blade before Halloween. Posting these files now allows others to plan their costumes accordingly. Print settings used: Printer: RigidBot Big Rafts: None Supports: None Resolution: 200 Infill: 20 Notes: These are my standard print settings; reducing infill may produce better results, but I'm content with the current performance. Post-printing assembly involves using a soldering iron with a large chisel tip and spare filament to weld the pieces together. Design creation utilized Autodesk Inventor, based on images from Smash 4.
