Correx Wing for Caracara glider
thingiverse
3d printed ribs for substitute wing( the 3d printed one is way too brittle for my style of flying). Each wing is also about 10g ligther than the old ones.Beware I designed them with an airfoil that offers tons of lift but also a bit more drag. The wing is composed of a corrugated sheet of plastic(3mm) you can also use some foam of the same thickness with maby some reinfocement. The 3d prited parts serve as a means of giving the wing the desired airfoil shape( Eppler 377).The holes are designed for a 3mm rod(carbon or other light material)The "Mid section file" has the hole for the spar placed a bit lower under the wing giving the build a 5 degrees dihedral when placer 13 cm from the fusolage. If you wish to increase or decrease dihedral just move th "Mid section rib".If you dont want dihedral just use the "Near fusolage piece" also in the middle. The wing is held on by do small rubberbanda ziptied to one end that go trough the wing and latch on the servo horn. This gives zero giggle in the control surfaces an a sturdy latch poin for the wings to hod on.
