Coronavirus Mask

This mask was provided by a doctor. I thought it necessary to include it here too. Printing Files • Two .stl files are required per mask and can be found at www.LongLiveYourSmile.com. • PLA material is recommended. • Printing time takes 3 hours, but this may vary depending on the printer used. • The design allows for printing without supports. • It's suggested to print an array if possible. A source file is included in case one wants to make modifications. • This mask was designed for Adult Large, and it can be scaled down to 90% or less for smaller masks. Making the Mask • Sand around the edge of the mask that touches your face using sandpaper with a grit of at least 200. • Attach an elastic cord to the attachments and adjust to the desired tension. • Elastic cords, strings, straps, or any variation can be used as ties. Placing Filter • Existing clinical masks can be cut into 2.5 inch squares and used as filters. One mask can produce up to six filters. • Replacement filters are also available from High Tech Filters by calling Shane Rekdal at 800-785-6985 or emailing shane@flowmarkhightech.com. • Place the filter material on the inside of the mask, then push the holding ring and filter together into place. Aseptic Technique • These masks are reusable but each person should have their own. • Masks can be cleaned and disinfected using soap and water or disinfectant agents. • Practice good hygiene by washing your hands before and after changing filters and removing the mask. • Clean the mask often, change the filter often. Special Thanks to Dusty Richardson, Colton Zaugg, Spencer Zaugg, Billings Clinic, and High Tech Filters for their ideas, designs, and implementation.
