21/04/2020: Geometry is improved for a better fit, three additional cores are added for thick and thin materials (still suitable for medium size fits for a large number of different fabric materials), Fusion 360 sources are added for customization. Simple and easy-printable face mask clips allow using any suitable material for the masks in pandemic times. Sewing skills are not required; just cut and press the material. Assembly: 1. Insert elastic bands into frames. 2. Cut 24x18 cm pieces of material and two ~20cm elastic bands (you can use longer ones for horizontal mounting behind the head). It's safer if materials contain about three layers. 3. Bend materials over 18cm edges like on photos. 4. Press materials to frames with cores. Thin cores are used for 0.1 mm material thickness, medium cores for 0.4 mm, thick cores for 0.8 mm, and extra-thick cores for 1.2mm (like towels). Materials: According to the New York Times, the best combinations of materials are: * Two layers of high-quality, heavyweight "quilter's cotton" * Two-layer masks made with thick batik fabric * Double-layer masks with inner layers of flannel and outer layers of cotton In general, pillowcases, flannel pajamas, and origami vacuum bags can be used. Cotton T-shirts are not perfect but can be applied too. Be safe!
