Looking forward to collaborating with pandemic medical experts to refine and develop new designs for mask holders/DIY mask filters. Spring and hook: PLA filament is recommended. Protection male/female: Flex or semiflex material provides a secure fit. Recommended settings include 5wall 50% fill for the hook, which offers sufficient strength. You can scale up if you want it stronger or have larger fingers. This design serves as a door opener and knob pusher, aimed at limiting the spread of the virus by providing every little bit of help. The design is intended to be reasonably cleanable to prevent the spread of germs. Use 1.75mm flex filament through the 2mm hole and tie it to your belt to secure the parts together. Dismount to clean with handwash product, then leave it dry for a long time (typically overnight) because depending on your printer settings/performance, the part could be porous. It goes without saying that you want to avoid any contact with the inside of the protection and the hook itself to minimize its impact on limiting the spread. I've included the spring Fusion 360 file so you can personalize it with your name or adjust how tight it holds the hook (add thickness to the internal half-circle shape). Be careful, as the spring must be inserted correctly: one side is flat, the other is round, and they should match on the protection.
