I am in need of assistance with converting an STL file into a proper CAD model. The STL model can be found at Face Mask with Replaceable Filter Element, where a tutorial is also available for creating your own version: A SOLIDWORKS face mask with Surfacing. Please note that this is not my design, but rather a SOLIDWORKS model and a Step file provided for those seeking a "clean" model to work with or modify. The SOLIDWORKS model is from 2020 and was created in a quick and dirty manner, so I ask that you don't judge me too harshly if you make changes. Additionally, it's worth mentioning that the fit/function of this mask has not been evaluated, and masks in general offer little protection from viruses. It's much more likely to pick up a virus from your hands. This model is primarily used as a CAD/reverse engineering project. If you create one, please post photos. To learn how to convert STL models into NURBS models, check out this tutorial: Convert STL (or OBJ) Mesh to SOLIDWORKS Model (NURBS).
