Corona treater holder
thingiverse
The device holds a standard model of handheld corona treater, specifically the BD-20AC Laboratory Corona Treater from Electro-Technic Products, allowing for hands-free operation. The treater is inserted into the central hole of the holder with its electrode facing downwards. Next, the item to be treated is positioned on a long, thin non-conductive support and guided beneath the electrode as the device is activated. This setup prevents the operator from needing to hold the corona treater during use. Our research lab employs this holder for treating PDMS sheets used in microfluidic chips that incorporate monolithic membrane valves and pumps. The STL file for generating the design can be found within an OpenSCAD file, enabling customization of the device's architecture if desired.
