1st Attempt at Simple 3D Printable Retro-Fit Lever Converts Standard Water Tap for Elbow Operation, Reducing Hand Contact in Public Places Designed to revolutionize infection control in public spaces like bathrooms in cafes, train/bus stations, and more, this innovative retro-fit lever enables users to turn on/off water without touching the tap with their hands. Still untested due to printer limitations, this concept requires community input for refinement. Please print and test to ensure its effectiveness. Critical Note: A smooth surface finish is crucial; a rough or porous surface can harbor virus-infected cells, negating the purpose of this design. Printing with good surface finish in mind or applying a coat after printing (e.g., resin, varnish, PVA) is essential for effectiveness. This lever's potential can be amplified by developing different sizes to accommodate various tap styles. It requires an M6x30 screw and nut for its integrated pinch clamp.
