Architects from Historic American Landscapes Survey are thoroughly documenting the Chapel Sculpture at the Meuse-Argonne American Cemetery and Memorial, situated near Romagne-sous-Montfaucon in Northeastern France. The American Battle Monuments Commission is overseeing this process. The intricate sculptures were carefully designed by York & Sawyer Architects, who worked closely with model makers Ricci & Zari of New York to bring their vision to life. On-site artisans skillfully carved these features directly into the stone using full-size plaster models as a guide.
