Corner Protector (Stackable) v1.3
thingiverse
I'm crafting a portable case for my 3D printer that's designed to stay ahead of the curve. I envision myself needing another - or even multiple - printers in the future, which is why I want this case to be stackable without sacrificing style. To achieve a sleek look, I've planned to recess any trim or corner protectors, so they won't protrude from the surface. This means creating a flush fit, which requires routing out an area for it to sit into - I might even build a jig to make the process smoother. Now, the challenge of stacking without sliding: marbles come to mind. A standard marble measures about 1cm in diameter, so I've designed each side of this 5mm thick part with a 1cm hemisphere cut out, allowing me to drop a marble into place and stack things up securely.
