Corner for trimming out a flarespace flare or windows in a Sprinter Van
thingiverse
I'm creating my own trim rings for customizing the flarespace flares and windows. To attach the flat section to the inside of the walls where the cut out meets the trim rings, I'll be using CA glue (superglue). I 3D printed the corners after designing them in Sketchup. Each corner requires about $2 worth of plastic filament and takes approximately six hours to print. There are 3mm registration pins in each piece. To assemble it, I drill a 3mm hole in 4mm plywood, relying on friction fit to hold it together. When I get the lengths just right, I'll permanently attach it using CA glue. My plan is to upholster this and the walls with Sileather vinyl. However, I'm anxious about upholstering around those rounded corners! I might need to seek professional help for this part. If you use this model, please don't hesitate to let me know! I'd love to see your photos.
