When splitting metal profiles into two smaller sections, it's possible to conceal the sharp edge of the cut profile with a small printer label. I haven't used this method for securing heavy objects on the floor, but it works well for hanging metal profiles on walls and printing caps at ceiling height. The V-profile metal side was 25 mm high, so the printed cap needed to be slightly longer and rounded inside for easy use. Fixing the cap in place with cyano-acrylate adhesive at the end of the profile is essential.
