Corner Brace Spool Adapter
thingiverse
I was using the "Tronxy Spool Holder" from Thingiverse (thing:1686586) but after printing and installing these highly recommended "Anet A8 Brackets to Reduce X-Axis Motion" (Thingiverse, thing:1872162), the spool holder no longer fit on the frame, which was obvious. So now we have a new setup. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this outcome since I printed the wrong spool holders in the first place anyway. The Anet A8 Prusa Clone printer's frame got some much-needed bracing thanks to Leo, and the spool holder can easily support three rolls of filament. This was a win-win situation because the spool holder needed more bracing. Print Settings: Printer: Anet A8 Prusa Clone Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: Up to you Infill: 10% Notes: To print both left and right side braces, you'll need to mirror the object in your slicer or find another way. The Thing needs to be rotated so that the square opening for the spool leg is facing down on the print surface. This thing has tight tolerances for the actual spool leg, which may require the first layer 'push out' to be trimmed. Enjoy.
