Corner Brace or Cover for 1x2 frame

I was working on creating a unique piece of art and built a custom frame out of sturdy 1x2s. However, I wasn't satisfied with how the corners turned out, so I decided to design and 3D print corner covers or braces to give my piece a more cohesive look. These corner covers are specifically designed to fit perfectly on the mitered corner of a 1x2 frame when the wood is standing upright with its short end facing upwards (0.75") and the longer end facing downwards (1.5"), which is the thickness of the frame. I usually print four of these covers for each piece I need them for, as they are lightweight and easy to handle. To attach them securely to the frame, I use a strong adhesive like E6000 glue, which works exceptionally well. Additionally, the sides of the corner covers are thin enough to allow me to put one small nail with a head through it. It's essential to note that these corner covers should not be used as structural support for the frame; they are purely decorative elements designed to enhance the overall aesthetic appeal of the piece. Print Settings: Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer Model: MakerBot Replicator 2 Rafts: Yes Supports: No Notes: I use a Zebra plate when printing these corner covers, and it often results in the raft peeling off the plate along with the cover. To clean up, I simply scrape off the remaining raft material. Post-Printing: After printing, I apply E6000 glue to one side of the corner cover and then secure it in place by driving a small nail through the other side. This ensures that the cover stays firmly attached to the frame. How I Designed This: To create this 3D model, I experimented with various 2D shapes in my CAD software until I found the perfect combination. Through trial and error, I was able to design and print these corner covers that fit perfectly on my custom frame.
