Corner brace for IKEA Besta cabinet
prusaprinters
My Besta cabinets were anything but rigid. Aligning the doors on the front of them was next to impossible! So I whipped up this corner brace in Onshape. You probably don't need one on each corner. Even one makes a difference, but two on opposite corners do the job nicely. These take 3mm countersunk screws, about 20-24mm should be right (but check before you drive them out the side of your cabinet!).Note @Akanar_300978's comment about materials:After a couple years the screws got loose due to PLA conforming to stress. Looks like this slightly got out of square as well. Re-printing this in ABS now. Should be good for the life of the cabinet then.Mine are PLA and have lasted since 2017 with no problems, but I've got three cabinets screwed together and supporting each other. Your mileage may vary.
