The great cormorant (Phalacrocorax carbo) is a suliform bird species that dominates the Phalacrocoracidae family with an almost universal reach. It thrives in Eurasia, Africa, Australasia and the Atlantic coasts of North America, where it inhabits any large body of water, such as lakes, rivers, estuaries and coastal waters, including reservoirs.
