Girolamo Cardano's principle reveals the concealed workings of a mechanism involving two circles. One circle possesses twice the radius of the other; when the smaller circle rotates without slipping, tangent to the larger (stationary) circle, any point on the smaller circle traces a straight line across the diameter of the larger circle. This concept was applied by a user named Nicolas Marc in a cork press design. However, they were informed that their solution involved an overly complex Peaucellier mechanism. To address this, a simpler Cardan solution was promised as a gift for Nicolas' grandfather. In addition, the author plans to upload a Romanian solution, which they claim will be even more straightforward and easier to understand when modeled in Autodesk Inventor.
