Corinthian Helmet

Corinthian Helmet

myminifactory

Greek warriors, possibly from Corinth, crafted this magnificent helmet in the sanctuary of Zeus at Dodona, a sacred site in north-west Greece. The inscription on its right cheek-guard, "OLUMP", hints that it may have been destined for dedication to Zeus at Olympia, but was somehow redirected to Dodona instead, where it would serve as a powerful symbol of divine protection.
