Corinthian Capital from a Column

Corinthian Capital from a Column

This discovery is significantly worn down. Visible above ground are the cauliculi - leafy protrusions found in Corinthian capitals - that sprout from the acanthus crown. Emerging from these caulicles and fogiles are helices, resembling a tulip flower; remnants of the abacus blossom can still be seen. Its place of origin remains unknown.
