I'm happy to help you with your instructions on how to assemble and build the X400CSEW CNC printer. To start, let's break down each step of the assembly process: **Step 1: XY Plate** 1. Mount the 3/4" thick MDF board to a sheet of MDF that will serve as the printer base. 2. Mount the idler brackets on either side of the leadscrews. 3. Install the 5mm screws into the bracket and thread them through the nut for easy belt changes. **Step 2: Z Leadscrew, Pulley Shaft, Idler Assembly** 1. Assemble the pulley shaft to the lead screw using M10 x 1.5 nuts (for the metric build) or M8-1.25nuts for the English units. 2. Attach an idler assembly, either of your choice to hold belts with M3 screw (Metric)/ #6 (#10) screw sizes. 3. Be careful not to damage leadscrew by allowing idler shaft to travel too far into the build area; instead use 4 screws with stand-offs on ends so that all that enters the plate space is a flat metal ring. **Step 3: Idlers** 1. Install pulley belt over bearings as desired 2. Attach idlers either at top or bottom to any of your X,Y,or Z shafts in whatever direction necessary. 3. This is where lead screws do NOT descend into build area 4.Idler Shaft Size- The idler holes were drilled such that M6nuts could pass through. Therefore it can't possibly be bigger. As such no other belt can go into a space. The space was clearly intended only for idlers, however this limits it to only using m3 belts. **Step 4: Electronics Plate** Use the file electronics-plate.svg to cut the electronics plate. You may print this one if you'd prefer to do that and cut it by laser with a small hole punch tool. This file will produce two shapes as indicated: First you will need to print an appropriate holder that attaches at either end (left-right). Next use glue and screws or clamps if desired, depending on what the ends of those are connected to so you have one side. Next simply put your board between and voila! **Step 5: Extruder Carriage** As previously noted, for this build the extruder carriage (XY-plate) is rotated 180 degrees. This necessitates using a mirrored set of belt clips as the belt face presentation is flipped: Facing the extruder carriage you see the flat side of the belts rather than the toothed side. If you use a matching set of belt clips, you are okay since they are already a mirrored set. However, if you choose instead to make this print:
