Cordelia
myminifactory
Pierce Francis Connelly drew inspiration from his elder sister, Adeline, when modeling Cordelia. As the youngest daughter of Shakespeare's King Lear, Cordelia is depicted as a loyal child determined to save her aging father's kingdom. The Smithsonian Institution utilized this sculpture as a reference point for creating lifelike mannequins in the National Museum of American History's first ladies exhibition.
