Cord Tensioner (remix)

<p>This is a cord tensioner for 4mm paracord.</p><p>It is a remix of a thing I found on Thingiverse by @cadfinger.</p><p><a href="https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1486048">https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1486048</a></p><p>Things I've changed:</p><ol><li>Removed rubber-band features because it was too small to be useful. &nbsp;The rubber-band tended to break anyways.</li><li>Added grooves to on the tensioner body and cam to provide better “bite” into the cord. &nbsp;It works really well now.</li><li>Added handle feature to the cam so you can undo the tension &nbsp;as needed.</li></ol><p>I recommend you print with PETG/ABS/ASA. &nbsp;PLA creeps under tension and will deform excessively to the point where the cam doesn't align with the tensioner body anymore. &nbsp;</p><p>If you are using this outdoors, print with ASA for better UV resistance; other materials will embrittle over time.</p><p>My use: to tie down plastic potted plant cover that slows excessive evaporation from the soil.</p><p>Let me know what YOU use it for! :-)</p><p>If you add this to your collection and/or download the model, please click the <strong>LIKE </strong>button!</p><p>Happy printing!</p><p>Ryan</p>
