At first, I attempted to create the SpoolMount.stl part; however, removing its support material proved challenging and resulted in damage. Consequently, I opted to erase the support in openSCAD for a smoother printing experience with my makerbot which successfully bridged the gap without any extraneous "spaghetti" filament.
