Cord Reel Conversion

Cord Reel Conversion

This upgrade allows you to enclose the output receptacle inside the spool of a cheap Home Depot cord reel, making it easy to wind and unwind to any desired length. To install this upgrade, drill a hole using a 1-1/2" hole saw, insert the cord into place, and secure it with this part and a 3/8-16 bolt. A helpful tip is to drill a smaller hole on the opposite side for the hex key. The photos show an illustration of the part installed without the cord. Please note that the cord must be inserted before screwing the part into place. When printing this upgrade, supports are necessary for the lip. If you use Cura or another slicer that supports it, "concentric supports" work very well with this part.
