This is a cord lock to use paracord with the Montana Mask.you will need to print 2 half bodies and a lock to make this thing. I am including the stacking 2 files and the stacking 160 bodies. I also included various sized cord locks so you can adjust this to work with whatever quality of paracord you can get. Each mask uses approximately 4 feet of paracord. 2 foot loop for the top and a 2 foot loop for the bottom strap of the mask. I use a small zip tie on each open end of the cord to make a small loop. I then zip tie the whole thing using the printed loops on the mask and zip tying them to the loops in the cord. Each mask will require 2 cord locks and 4 zipties.

Even though it works just snapped together, I use a soldering iron to melt the top to the bottom to insure that they wont come apart.

When you use these, the mask will hold to the wearer's head very tightly. To remove the mask, just slide the thumb knob on the lock to release and pull it back.

I designed these because I could not figure out an easy way to hold the masks to the wearer's face. I have worn this around town for the last couple days and it works well. I have donated a lot of these to my local hospital.

here is a short video of how it works... https://youtu.be/BKhKK8FuA28

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Anet

Printer:

A8

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

.3

Infill:

100

Filament: cheap PLA any

Notes:

I used a 4mm brim on this to keep them from falling over, the lock "gears" require no brim. I print these standing. as to maximize bed space. the 160x ones fit on a 220 x 220 bed
Oh yeah forgot to mention... Print this with a .4mm nozzle and .3 layer heights.. they will fuse otherwise.. also have to turn on "print thin walls" (at least in Cura which is what I know and use). if print thin walls is not on it will not print the pins between the stacked parts...

Category: Other
