Corbeau Bretonnian Grail Reliquary
thingiverse
Fancy and intricate design to craft, not due to its complexity but because of the challenge I faced in making it easily readable, printable, and paintable. I initially attempted to create a one-piece model, but it would have taken an entire day to print, and I detest that because if something goes wrong, all the plastic and time are lost. This model represents a deceased knight exhumed by fanatics and reassembled as if he were alive on the battlefield to support troops. The design had to look like a knight from afar but resemble a fascinating mix of things up close. I ended up creating a 3-part model, which reduced the overall print time to 7 hours and provided flexibility in building it. I was thrilled with how smart it looked after printing, and it was a joy to finish. The dead horse is carried by two cultists dressed in dresses, symbolizing the horse's barding. The front cultist is attached to the dead head and appears to be wearing an intricate system of metal and wood, as if he were part of a carnival parade with a massive cardboard model. The horse's back is also a man disguised in the same manner. In the middle, two crew members are dressed in the dead knight, one holding the saddle and the other trying to place a knight's leg on his hand. I customized the entire model using legitimate parts such as the knight's head and jousting lance, while other components came from my Bretonnian knight models.
