In my childhood, I was a science fiction enthusiast who reveled in all kinds of fantastical stories. Those tales consistently brought me breathtaking experiences. One concept that continually plagued me at the time refused to leave - the idea of being trapped in a "Brain in a vat" scenario. As a kid back then, this notion would challenge my understanding of reality and instill questions about life's significance. For this project, I aimed to capture this idea by modeling digital objects in 3D. While browsing commercial websites, I stumbled upon mathematical art that caught my eye. Shapes generated through mathematical formulas sparked my curiosity, leading me to incorporate the method into expressing the brain concept. During my research into mathematical art, I discovered a built-in tool within Rhino called Grasshopper that made coding unnecessary for this project. The visual programming capabilities of Grasshopper were more complex than anticipated, resulting in a slower process and an overwhelming array of elements to learn. After some exploration, I found myself at the Parametrichouse tutorial site, where I began by following basic tutorials but eventually found my lack of mathematics knowledge a significant barrier. Despite my efforts, I ended up leveraging tutorials' pre-built files and settings to craft a basic brain shape instead of creating one from scratch as envisioned.
