In this innovative design, the flight controller and motor ESCs are placed atop the frame for optimal functionality. The integrated battery is shielded by the landing feet, offering added protection. The rough design space was conceptualized in Solidworks, optimized using Solid Thinking Inspire, and further refined with final details in Solidworks. A Solidworks Simulation revealed that the finished frame, printed in ABS at 100% infill, would weigh approximately 11g, representing a 43% reduction in weight compared to the initial design space of 19.36g. To test the design, a 3D print was conducted in PLA with a layer height of 0.2mm, demonstrating satisfactory results despite the absence of support structures.
