Copper Bathtub
myminifactory
I built a copper bathtub model as a prop for a stage play. I used the model to create my construction drawings for the real thing, and it's available with or without handles on the sides. The prop was 5 feet long and 2 feet wide at its base, flaring wider towards the top by 6 inches on all sides. The base is made of layers of MDF to create molding, with a plywood bottom for actors to sit on. The sides are 1/2-inch plywood, cut into staves to create the curve like making a barrel. The outside is then covered with 1/4-inch flexi ply and Luan. Molding around the top and fillet around the base were made using foam pipe insulation. I can scale it down, but it would need a small diameter nozzle for really small print.
