This traditional cup originates from the Aosta Valley region (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aosta_Valley) in North-West Italy. Typically crafted from wood or ceramic materials, it serves as a vessel for savoring the distinctive "Caffè alla Valdostana" (Aostan Coffee), an alcoholic beverage prepared by blending coffee with grappa, genepy, dried cloves, orange zest, cinnamon, and sugar. Upon pouring the coffee into the cup, a layer of sugar is carefully placed around the rim, then saturated with grappa. Next, flames are applied to caramelize the sugar, leaving behind a dark, sticky residue. The top, adorned with an edelweiss emblem, seals the cup by adhering to its body. Friends take turns drinking from separate nozzles as the cup is passed around, with one strict rule: it must never come into contact with a table surface unless completely empty. When poured into a plastic printed cup, hot coffee mixed with alcohol can be disastrous. This decorative item, meant for display purposes only, requires printing in a material resistant to heat and alcohol if intended for use.
