COP Coronado Float Support
sketchfab
Folding float support discovered near a World War II dump site at Command Outpost, marked by numerous 55-gallon drums and glass bottles scattered across the area. The origin of this particular support remains uncertain, but its resemblance to other Coronado float supports found in Saipan suggests it may have originated from a PBY Catalina or PB2Y Coronado aircraft. However, I am not entirely convinced that the parts were identical between these two models. Located at 120 feet below sea level, this discovery was made using a GoPro 8 Black camera set to interval mode (0.5-second intervals). A one-meter scale bar is visible in the image.
