Cooling Threshold Calibration
thingiverse
Printing thin objects fast can prevent the filament from cooling properly between layers, resulting in warping. To calibrate my printer's filament cooling times, I print these blocks to ensure a solid top-to-bottom finish. To test your printer's calibration, follow these steps: Print the blocks and measure their thickness with calipers to gauge the amount of warping occurring. There are three 5mm x 5mm blocks in this file, each with different heights: 10mm, 15mm, and 20mm. If your print is warped or sagging, try slowing down the minimum print speed in Slic3r under Filament Settings. Go to Cooling Thresholds, adjust as needed, then re-print.
With this file you will be able to print Cooling Threshold Calibration with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Cooling Threshold Calibration.
