Cooling for Micron3DP Cobra
thingiverse
After a lot of testing I created this cooling fan duct for Micron 3DP!!! It's fully compatible with fast nozzles, including those longer than standard. I designed two options; the difference between them lies solely in the mounting mechanism. The more conventional option is PlateMount and requires drilling two holes in precise positions. The other file is specifically designed to secure the cooler onto a piece of aluminum that I custom-made myself - I've included the STL file, which I call fan_mount. You can print this part better with ABS or PETG, or HIPS, using an infill percentage of more than 50%. Alternatively, you can engrave it onto a piece of aluminum like in the photos. To assemble, you'll need a 50x50x15 radial fan; I secured mine with a bit of hot glue. If you have any questions or issues with this design, please don't hesitate to reach out and I'll address them ASAP. A huge thank you goes out to Arik Eran and the entire Micron3DP team! I'd also like to extend my gratitude to lamerhouse for their help. Print Settings: Printer: FatBoy Self made Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.15 Infill: 35 Notes: Supports are only required in the PlateMount file, specifically for the mounting support.
