I designed a cooling solution for my BMG style extruder and V6 hotend combo. The carriage was created for my EMT8 (modded A8), requiring a cooling system for both the hot end and parts fan. Initially, I tried several designs but each had its pros and cons. Combining elements from those that worked best, I developed this solution. It functions well and looks great on the printer. The duct used to cool the hot end is an excellent design by DaVinchi2000 - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3590309. The design remains largely untouched except for attaching a 5015 radial fan to its side. This allows for M3 screw/nut or ziptie attachment to the hot end, with personal preference leaning towards screws for added security and better support of the radial fan's weight. A 30mm fan included with the V6 hotend attaches to the duct and exhausts out the right side under the stepper motor for free flow and improved cooling. The mount for the radial fan comes from a similar design by Tom114 - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1746358, but his design didn't provide clearance for the BMG. My remix allows for sufficient space. The flat plate behind the radial fan was retained and modified; its thickness was increased to 5mm, allowing M4x20 screws to be used directly into the printed part. PETG printing ensured strong threading that holds securely. The duct is similar to the one from the Prusa i3 MK2. These parts should work with various designs using the E3D V6 hot end as long as there's sufficient clearance for all components. This solution was integrated into my carriage, which can be found here - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3781552. Users of A8 or similar printers are advised to consider this upgrade along with another that replaces linear bearings with rollers on the Y axis for improved performance.
