In a cement plant, molten raw meal from the kiln is gradually cooled within a cooler. Upon exiting, it is crushed by a hammer crusher. The still-hot material is then conveyed to a clinker silo via a bucket conveyor. Cooler fans are not depicted, while drives are located at both inlet and middle sections of the unit.
