This is a simple platform drawer with panel face, handle, and latch which allows a pull out drawer and access to a standard ice chest. The drawer can be pulled partially which allows cooler lid to be opened halfway for a quick reach inside for a drink. The drawer may be fully opened to expose the entire cooler for removal or to fully open lid for loading of ice or cleaning. This particular design was for an Igloo Marine Ultra 36 quart cooler.316 Stainless drawer slides were sourced from McMaster-Carr and are rated for 150lbs for the pair which is enough to withstand the standard load of of approximately 50 lbs of ice and canned beverages. The platform is made from king starboard plastic material and a gelcoated composite panel for the drawer face. This mounts inside of a server bar recess on deck which is vented and has drainage to allow the user to pop the cooler drain plug at the end of the day, close the drawer and not arrive next time to a cooler full of stagnant and moldy water. The actual installed version of this used epoxy sealed 1" hardwood risers to keep drawer slides out of standing water and to act as a channel to the drain for cooler water.
