Making do without a replacement cooler drain plug required some ingenuity - a new one would have to wait. Given the available resources, crafting a makeshift plug proved an appealing solution. With measurements taken, it was time to turn these plans into reality: creating an insert with an O.D. of 0.5" was merely the starting point. A precise fit demanded careful attention to detail - hence the interior diameter, also a mere 0.5". To achieve this, a printing operation was required; subsequently, sandpaper came out for use in rounding off sharp edges and subtly enlarging the internal cavity for a snug hold. In theory, simply attaching the newly minted plug should suffice for proper functionality.
