Converged LED Floor Lamp
thingiverse
After months of searching in vain for the perfect floor lamp, I decided to take matters into my own hands and create one myself. This design cleverly utilizes two IKEA SPANST LED light bars that have been widely acclaimed for their exceptional brightness. The two light bars overlap beautifully, creating a visually striking effect that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. The 3D printed mounts fit snugly into a finished wooden base, which I crafted from Australian Red Ironbark coated with a rich danish oil finish. The eSun Silk Brass filament proved to be the perfect complement to the dark red grain of the wood. ### Bill Of Materials: - Two IKEA SPANST LED light bars (134cm versions) that are known for their exceptional brightness. - Eight countersunk screws, each measuring 4g and 15-18mm in length. - Wood for a base that can be finished to perfection. - A 25mm boring drill bit that is essential for drilling precise holes. - A 2mm drill bit for pilot holes, which comes in handy when working with hardwood. ### Dimensions: Feel free to experiment with different layouts, but I've provided the measurements I used. Here are the specifications: * Base: 350mm x 190mm x 20mm * Holes for the mounts: 25mm in diameter * Length distance between mount holes: 160mm (center to center) * Width distance between mount holes: 34mm (center to center) * I used 5-degree mounts, but you can also opt for 6-degree mounts if you prefer additional overlap. ### Power and Additional Details: The lights are powered via USB, which makes it easy to integrate with other devices. If you're interested in using this lamp with Google Assistant or Alexa, or want to control it remotely using RF wall switches, I recommend checking out my related Sonoff USB box project. To add a touch of elegance, I quad braided the cables using paracord for a cleaner look. This design pairs perfectly with my Sonoff USB smart enclosure, which allows you to control the lamp with voice commands or turn it on and off remotely using paired 433 wall switches.
