The Convair C-131 Samaritan, a military transport created from 1954 to 1956 by Convair, was the armed forces version of the Convair CV-240. This model was constructed closely adhering to actual dimensions and features animateable propellers, ailerons, flaps, elevators, landing gear, and landing gear doors. Fully textured and available in various formats, it also had its trainer predecessor, the T-29, which was based on the Convair 240 and trained USAF navigators for all USAF aircraft. Operational with multiple military services including the US Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and other nations' armed forces until the early '80s, many were repurposed into private use post-surplus.
