The Convair C-131 Samaritan, a military transport produced from 1954 to 1956 by Convair, is an animated model with animateable propellers, ailerons, flaps, elevators, landing gear, and landing gear doors. It was the military version of the Convair CV-240 and was based on the earlier trainer model, the T-29, which instructed USAF navigators for all USAF aircraft. This detailed and textured model is available in several formats and was used by the US Air Force, US Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and other nations' military services until the early 1980s; many were then sold as surplus into private use.
