Convair F-106A Delta Dart
thingiverse
The F-106 was the most critical fighter interceptor used by the USAF from 1959 to 1988, when it was finally retired from the last ANG squadron. Initially, it started as a development of the F-102 but underwent significant modifications and new solutions that transformed the project into a distinct aircraft, now known as the F-106. Equipped with four AIM-4 Falcons and one AIM-26 Falcon SARH or an AIR-2 Genie missile with a nuclear warhead, all of these weapons were installed internally like those on the F-102. The F-106 was commonly referred to as "The Six." In 1972, some aircraft received a M-61 Vulcan cannon, earning them the nickname "Six Shooter." The model depicted is the single-seat F-106A; there was also a two-seater version called the F-106B. This model was printed at a scale of 1:100 but was scaled up to 1:285 with a nozzle diameter of 0.4mm and layer thickness of 0.12mm, as seen on the Cura display.
