The Convair CV-580, a popular medium haul commercial transport aircraft in the '60s and '70s, was essentially an upgraded CV-340 model with Allison turboprop engines for enhanced power, speed, and efficiency. Available in various formats, this fully textured, near-to-scale model boasts animateable features like propellers, ailerons, flaps, elevators, landing gear, and landing gear doors. It served major and regional airlines until the late '70s and early '80s, when it was replaced by jets like DC-9 and 737s. Despite being phased out for passenger operations, many CV-580s continued to serve in freight and charter roles well into the 2000s, with some still operational globally today.
