It is available in various formats. The Convair CV-580 was a prevalent medium haul transport aircraft for commercial airlines during the 1960s and 70s. Major and regional airlines operated it until the late 70s and early 80s, when jets like DC-9 and 737s replaced them. Designed to replace the CV-340 and Martin 404 in smaller regional carriers, this aircraft featured Allison Turboprop engines for increased power, speed, and efficiency.
