The Convair CV-580, a popular medium haul medium load commercial aircraft in the '60s and '70s, was built as a successor to the CV-340 and Martin 404 with more powerful Allison Turboprop engines. Available in various formats, this fully textured model, based on actual dimensions, features animateable propellers, ailerons, flaps, elevators, landing gear, and landing gear doors. It was active with major and regional airlines until the late '70s and early '80s, replaced by jets like DC-9 and 737s. However, many continued to serve for freight and charter operations well into the 2000s. Despite most being out of service now, some still fly worldwide.
